How is the information used?
To provide a more enjoyable gaming experience
I use Google Play Services to provide you with a more enjoyable gaming experience. In ootch!, Google Play provides cloud save (so that your progress in the game can be retained across different devices using your account), achievements (to recognise and reward your progress through the game) and in-app reviews (so that you can tell me whether or not you are enjoying the game). The link to Google’s privacy policy is above.
To improve your gaming experience
I use aggregated information on gameplay to understand how players are experiencing the game (e.g. how many players have reached level 30? are there parts of the game that are too easy or too difficult?). This allows me to make improvements to the game. I do not use this data for any other purpose. These services are provided to my by a third-party, Unity. The link to Unity’s privacy policy is above.
To diagnose and fix faults
In the event of an error I may collect data and information (“log data”) (through third party products) on your device. Log data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when using the service, the time and date of your use of the service, and other statistics.
To deliver more appropriate advertising
Ootch! is an ad-supported game. I use Unity Ads to provide advertisements in the game. You can access Unity’s privacy policy at the link above.
